Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of the premises team or other members of the RFM maintenance team to provide a professional, comprehensive, and high-quality service to the client's site.
Represent Robertson Facilities Management in dealings with external contractors to ensure site maintenance and planned developments align with principles of timeliness, cost, and quality, ensuring best value.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks as directed by the Contract Manager. Assist in scheduling annual planned preventative maintenance programmes, outlining priorities for site maintenance and development, and ensure the plan is implemented. Consult with management, site users, and external agencies to determine priorities.
Monitor plant and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency. Commission specialists when necessary to address issues or recommend solutions.
Supervise and undertake minor refurbishments, building work, repairs, and replacements within 24 hours of detection, ensuring legal requirements are met and work is of high standard.
Assist in supervising cleaning teams to keep all areas of the site clean, safe, and secure. Undertake cleaning duties as scheduled and support cleaning teams as needed.
Assist the management team in meeting health and safety responsibilities, including reviewing emergency procedures, checking equipment, ensuring statutory electrical testing, and participating in safety inspections.
Maintain site security through appropriate systems. Monitor contractor performance to ensure standards are met and liaise to remedy shortfalls.
An understanding of workplace Health & Safety and COSHH regulations is required. Project management skills, ability to coordinate trades, staff supervision experience, knowledge of grounds maintenance contracts, and building regulation requirements are essential.
