? The Role
This isn’t your average education or design job, and we’re not looking for an average educator or designer.
We’re looking for a creative thinker and practitioner who’s excited to co-create with neurodiverse learners, design for real-world impact, and bring vibrant, inclusive ideas into the studio sessions every day.
As our Industrial Designer, you’ll work closely with learners aged 16–25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), guiding them through projects that merge product, spatial, and sustainable design with social purpose.
? What You’ll Do
* Lead hands-on design experiences that empower learners to solve real problems.
* Guide exploration in CAD, physical prototyping, 3D printing, and storytelling.
* Co-create projects focused on community, sustainability, identity, and inclusion.
* Inspire learners to think boldly, work iteratively, and create with purpose.
* Teach, mentor and inspire learners through every phase of their creative process - from concept to exhibition.
* A qualified industrial or product designer who’s ready to put your skills toward real impact.
* Experienced with tools like Rhino, Fusion 360, Adobe CC, sketching, model making, and rapid prototyping.
* A systems thinker who understands design as a tool for equity, empowerment, and progress.
* Energised by collaboration, diversity, and working alongside young neurodiverse creatives.
* Someone who designs with heart, and wants their work to truly matter.
? What Your Days Might Look Like
* Delivering creative curriculum that explore identity, sustainability, and innovation.
* Helping learners build and test prototypes using digital and physical tools.
* Co-planning exhibitions, real-world installations or retail spaces.
* Brainstorming new approaches to inclusive, learner-led curriculum.
* Making the learning environment a space for exploration, growth, and radical possibility.
