Overview
Could you be a Sense Support Worker? We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to join our friendly well-established teams at our Sense Supported Living service at Orton Longueville, Peterborough.
We support 6 individuals at the service and everyone we support is provided with care and support tailored to their individual needs, including complex communication needs, physical health conditions, and multi-sensory impairments.
Responsibilities
* Support individuals to take part in activities including Bowling, Archery and Shopping.
* Facilitate home days to teach household tasks such as dusting and hoovering.
* Contribute to a range of activities and wellbeing events provided by the service.
* Work shifts starting around 7am with latest starts around 4pm.
* Operate a company vehicle (manual license required) to drive and accompany individuals to appointments, activities outside the home and trips.
* Opportunity to learn/develop British Sign Language (BSL) at the service if interested, as some people we support use this method of communication.
