The Position: Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer

As the Mechanical & Piping Lead Engineer, you will oversee mechanical and piping scope on projects, working closely with the Technical Authority, Engineering Manager, project managers, clients and other discipline leads. * Oversee layout development, routing and mechanical equipment arrangements.
* Collaborate with M&P Technical Authority and Engineering Manager to maintain technical standards.
* Review and check technical deliverables, raising technical queries as required.
* Responsible for functional development; assisting with capability growth, onboarding and mentoring of new team members, as well as providing coaching & guidance to our mechanical and piping engineers.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes and templates.
* Support proposals, estimates and design planning inputs.

Preferred Profile:

We are looking for individuals who can bring the following skills and experience:

* Experience of leading mechanical and/or piping deliverables in an EPC project environment, ideally from a engineering and design consultancy setting.
* Have previously delivered design packages across Concept, FEED and Detailed Design for Oil & Gas, Energy, COMAH, Industrial, or similar projects.
* Strong understanding of piping layout, routing and modelling with knowledge of relevant codes, standards and industry practices.
* Comfortable coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams, and confident engaging with EPC contractors & owners / operators.
* Brownfield or modification project exposure is an advantage.
* Ideally, a Chartered Engineer or working towards (IMechE ideal).
* Reside locally to Pembrokeshire or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage.

Please note many of our UK projects require high-level security clearance meaning that visa sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on role criticality and project needs.
