To oversea the daily care aspects in the unit/units. To assist the service users in all aspects of their lives. To be responsible for ensuring that the service users attend all health and wellbeing related appointments. To liaise with families and other professionals about the service users care. To audit paperwork in conjunction with and on behalf of the Registered Manager. To be flexible in work hours to cover the units where needed. To be able to facilitate service user join the companies on-call system
Post Holder Competencies:
1. To oversee staff working in the units.
2. To represent the Service Users and the Company at meetings and reviews.
3. To develop and maintain good relationships with Service Users and their families
4. To be an integral part of the Elite Care Services supervisory team.
5. To be flexible in approach and attitude.
6. To implement follow company policies, procedures and protocols.
7. To be conversant with and to be able to implement the Local Authority Safeguarding Protocols.
8. Ensure protocols for managing client records and protecting confidentiality.
9. To develop and maintain Service User Care plans.
10. To maintain and enhance a positive image of the service through professional relationships with staff, service users, public and external agencies.
11. To cover the on-call rota in rotation with other team leaders/ managers
Person Specification:
Qualifications- Essential NVQ2 or equivalent Desirable Team leader qualifications.
Skills- Essential Clear accurate written and verbal communication, organisational skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills. Desirable resourceful
Experience- Essential Experience in working in the care sector and specifically Learning Disabilities. Desirable previous role at senior support worker level.
Circumstances- Essential driving licence and own vehicle required, able to work across all shifts.
Personality-Essential Professional with ability to motivate others and self, Flexible and empathic.
