About the Role This is a hands-on opportunity to work within a collaborative engineering environment where market data quality is critical to trading and risk operations. You'll contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable data validation systems, ensuring both real-time and historical datasets meet the highest standards of accuracy and completeness. Key Responsibilities Partner with engineering and trading teams to monitor and validate market data across multiple asset classes, including equities and futures. Build and enhance automated data quality checks tailored to different data types (e.g., L1, L2, L3). Support the alignment of real-time and historical data feeds, ensuring consistency across systems. Contribute to the development of proactive monitoring tools and alerting mechanisms to detect anomalies. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Document data quality metrics, issue resolution workflows, and best practices. Continuously improve data quality frameworks through automation and process optimisation. Ideal Candidate Profile 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, data quality, or a related technical discipline. Strong Python skills, particularly for data validation, automation, and analysis. Familiarity with market data feeds (e.g., L1/L2/L3) and vendors such as Bloomberg or Refinitiv is advantageous. Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and real-time data systems. Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude. Interest in financial markets or prior experience in a trading or investment environment is a plus.
