Deputy Divisional Director- Clinical Support Services

The closing date is 11 November 2025

This is an exciting time to be joining the Clinical Support Services Division as we embark on a journey of transformation and innovation. The Clinical Support Services (CSS) division has recently expanded and covers Oncology & Haematology, Pathology, Pharmacy, Radiology, Cardiorespiratory and Therapies across The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

We are a friendly, innovative and business‑focussed team located at the two main sites within the Trust – the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, the Princess Royal Hospital and the Community Diagnostics Centre, Telford – led by Anna Martin, Director of Operations, and Dr Angus McGregor, Divisional Medical Director.

Partnership working is key to this role. By working with internal and system partners you will ensure that our services are optimised to best support patient experience across the Trust and the wider system. You will utilise your extensive collaborative and influencing skills to deliver the business as usual and support the implementation of major projects and transformation work, including HTP.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will act as Deputy Divisional Director of Operations, CSS and as a member of the CSS leadership team, playing a key role in decision‑making within the Division. You will work with internal and system partners to support the implementation of major transformation projects, provide support for projects by creating business cases, plans and assurance as required, and support the Centres in the deployment of robust demand and capacity models.

Your portfolio will comprise a number of diagnostic services that support our Planned and UEC Pathways within SaTH and our community. You will be responsible for Radiology (including Cardio‑Respiratory), Pathology, and the Community Diagnostics Centre, which we host on behalf of our Integrated Care System.

Working closely with the CSS Centre Leadership Teams, SaTH Divisional Colleagues, Corporate Services, the Executive Team and STW System partners you will play a crucial role in developing the maturity and visibility of the progress of CSS transformation programmes.
