Here at NCHA we have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our friendly and supportive Care & Support team as a Support Worker at our new service opening in Coalville! Highfields Street isa supported living service for young adults with learning disabilities. This service aims to support people to live safely and independently as part of their community. We provide 1-1 support to help our service users develop confidence and thrive in the community, developing daily living skills alongside any support from local health and social care professionals. As a Support Worker some of your key duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Provide face to face support. Support to teach and develop daily living skills and increase confidence. Write, follow and review detailed risk assessments. Maintain working relationships with family, social workers and other professionals. Use training provided to develop and increase personal skill base. Follow procedures, legislation and health and safety standards. What we require The ideal candidate is someone looking for shift work and not 9am-5pm hours. They will be an organised self-starter, who is open and supportive to the needs of others. Resilient and creative with ways to encourage and promote positive change in individuals daily lives. They will be aware of the needs of vulnerable adults and able to communicate effectively with other professionals and agencies in resolving and supporting issues. Working Hours This is a 24-hour service and operates 7 days a week. The Shift patterns: 7am 2.30pm, 2.30pm-10pm, 10pm 7am, including weekends and waking nights.
