The role of Lead Groundskeeper is responsible for ensuring the maintenance of facilities at the Stadium (and other sites as may be applicable).
Role Responsibilities
* Plan an annual maintenance programme of all Burton Albion sites including:
o Pitch preparation (grass and artificial)
o General landscaping
o Routine building maintenance
o Other landscaping tasks
* Manage groundskeeping staff to support planned facility use and ensure standards are met.
* Understand legislation related to chemicals and dangerous substances.
* Check facilities, plant, buildings, and equipment for safety and compliance.
* Ensure proper storage, maintenance, and servicing of materials and equipment.
* Promote safe practices among staff and others.
* Conduct risk assessments, develop contingency plans, and respond to emergencies.
* Use resources efficiently.
* Perform any other duties reasonably assigned.

* Require an Enhanced DBS check due to the nature of the work.

About The Candidate
Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Sports Turf or Greenkeeping.
* At least 2 years of groundskeeping management experience in a sports turf environment.
* PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying qualifications.
Person Skills/Abilities
* Excellent planning, organization, and multitasking skills.
* Reliable, confidentiality-aware.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Flexible and adaptable.
