Overview
We’re seeking a seasoned Marketing & Communications Manager to step into a 12-month maternity-cover role, delivering impactful marketing and communications strategy during this period. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the role blends strategic communications, internal engagement, external relations, and project oversight to reinforce Score’s brand and business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
* Strategic Communications & Brand
o Develop and deliver a cohesive marketing and communications strategy that aligns with Score’s goals and enhances brand equity.
o Oversee consistent brand voice across all channels, ensuring alignment with Score’s values and technical positioning.
* Internal Communications & Engagement
o Lead employee communications initiatives—newsletters, townhalls, intranet posts—to support engagement across global locations.
o Serve as a trusted point of contact for internal messaging and leadership communications.
* External Communications & PR
o Manage external media relations, corporate announcements, thought leadership pieces, and case studies.
o Coordinate with PR agencies as needed to enhance Score’s visibility in trade and technical publications.
o Lead creation of marketing assets—brochures, whitepapers, presentations, digital content—to support technical sales, business development, and campaigns.
o Plan and execute integrated campaigns (digital, print, events) that drive measurable outcomes.
* Crisis / Ad Hoc Communications
o Act as the primary point of contact during operational or reputational crises, crafting responsive external messaging.
* Analytics
o Track performance of key communications campaigns using analytics.
o Monitor KPIs—like media coverage, engagement metrics, campaign ROI—and report to leadership.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Experience in B2B marketing and communications, preferably within engineering, manufacturing, or technical industries.
* Experience in marketing communications or a similar role.
* Demonstrated success in integrated communications—internal + external—including brand, digital, collateral, and PR management.
* Strong strategic and project management skills, with experience working across multiple global stakeholders.
* Excellent written and verbal communication—copywriting, storytelling, and leadership messaging.
* Experience in managing agencies or creative partners.
* Proficiency in analytics tools and ability to use data to inform strategy.
* Educational background in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or related field; professional marketing qualifications are a plus.
