Specialist English Tutor – 1:1 Tuition for Vulnerable Pupils
Start Date: September | Locations: In-home & Specialist Settings
We are looking for a committed and experienced English Tutor to work with pupils who are Looked After Children (LAC), excluded from mainstream education, or at risk of exclusion. Tuition will be delivered on a 1:1 basis either in the home or at alternative/specialist provisions.
Role Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver personalised English tuition sessions (KS2–KS4)
* Adapt teaching to the needs of pupils with SEND/SEMH profiles (ADHD, autism, PTSD, behavioural difficulties)
* Record detailed session notes using our cloud-based reporting platform
* Manage your own diary and travel between tuition sites
Requirements:
* In-depth knowledge of the UK English curriculum
* Proven experience working with vulnerable young people and complex needs
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* QTS desirable, but a related degree with substantial tutoring experience is also acceptable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
