Junior Project Manager – Tipton
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Junior Project Manager to join our well-established client based in Tipton .
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to develop their career in project management, working alongside experienced Project Managers on high-value, technically complex engineering projects.
This position is ideal for candidates looking to progress their career within an engineering or technically regulated environment. It would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer or Operations Manager.
Shifts:
• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 – 17:00 (39 hours per week)
Salary:
• £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Day to Day Duties:
As a Junior Project Manager, your day-to-day duties will include:
• Supporting Project Managers in defining project strategy, scope, budget, and resource requirements
• Assisting with the coordination of cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
• Maintaining accurate project documentation in line with company, legal, and quality standards
• Monitoring project progress and assisting with schedules, budgets, and forecasts
• Supporting risk management by identifying issues and assisting with mitigation plans
• Ensuring project change control processes are followed and scope variations are managed
• Assisting with commercial and contractual administration, including variation management
• Preparing internal and customer project reports, including monthly and quarterly reviews
• Managing smaller projects or individual workstreams under senior supervision
• Ensuring all activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
Essential Skills:
The skills required to be a Junior Project Manager are:
• Strong understanding of core project management principles and processes
• Awareness of contract requirements, scope management, and risk control
• Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role, ideally within nuclear, aerospace, oil & gas, or rail sectors
• Understanding of project cost control and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills
• Ability to influence and motivate others
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Fluent written and spoken English
Desirable Experience:
• Formal qualification in Project Management (APM, PRINCE2, or similar)
• Experience supporting technical or engineering-based projects
• Exposure to cost forecasting, project reporting, and risk management tools
