Logistics Supervisor Location: AESAS – RNAS Yeovilton, BA22 8HT Salary: Competitive salary plus excellent benefits Schedule: 40 hours per week Ready to impact a better future? As a Logistics Supervisor in our AESAS team, you’ll play a key part in ensuring safe, compliant and efficient support to off-aircraft operations through effective tooling and equipment control. Your work will help keep critical air engineering activity running smoothly and safely. By managing tooling, supporting operational outputs and helping colleagues grow, you’ll directly contribute to creating a high‑trust, high‑standards environment that supports the Royal Navy and the communities it protects. What you’ll do as a Logistics Supervisor You’ll be entrusted to: Control and maintain 1 Hangar tooling and specialist test equipment. Oversee issue centre operatives and supervise day‑to‑day workload allocation as directed by your Line/Serco Manager. Manage calibration, tooling and equipment demands, lubricants, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) substances in line with relevant policies and regulations. Ensure contracted tasks are completed in line with Customer and statutory regulations, reporting risks, quality issues and customer feedback promptly. Support operational performance by maintaining compliance, standards and documentation, including assurance activities using reporting systems such as DASOR and Assure. Mentor and support colleagues including Fitters, Fitters’ Mates and Apprentices when required. Promote Continuous Improvement (CI) and maintain Serco’s professional image in all communications. Does this sound like you? You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have: Previous supervisory experience within a military or regulated engineering environment. Strong knowledge of aircraft servicing, support equipment, Naval Air Publications and C‑IETP (Compound – Interactive Electronic Technical Publications). Familiarity with Health and Safety, COSHH, tool control, quality practices and stores management. Experience using Microsoft Office and the MJDI (Multiuser Joint Deployable Inventory) stores accounting system. Completion of a Maintenance Human Factors Course and a good understanding of rotary wing military aviation procedures. Experience in airworthiness engineering safety and compliance in line with regulatory requirements. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to work efficiently, effectively and with initiative under pressure. Vetting and checks: This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
