Due to an increasing workload we are looking to expand our highly experienced team in Ireland. The company now has an exciting opportunity for a full time Principal Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist to join the team in Dublin. The Geoscience services within RSK Group Limited, is one of the UK and Ireland’s largest geotechnical, contaminated land and hydrogeological consultancies with ambitious plans for growth. The company has a wide portfolio of clients in a number of sectors including marine, industry, construction, energy and property. Working alongside an experienced team you will get involved with a vast array of projects ranging from large scale infrastructure, commercial and residential development schemes and renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing geotechnical consultancy services to predominantly multidisciplinary engineering projects across Ireland. All project work shall be carried out with due diligence and adherence to the RSK procedures and completed within the agreed cost budgets and time scales. Key Responsibilities: Providing technical leadership, technical input, guidance and review of Geotechnical projects. Effectively manage projects from inception to completion including resource and budget management, technical oversight and client communications. Design, specify and manage desk studies, feasibility studies and ground investigations Be conversant with soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling Prepare and check ground investigation reports Undertake geotechnical analysis and design of slopes, earthworks, foundations, basements and retaining structures Prepare earthworks specification documentation Person Specification: BEng or equivalent in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or similar Typically a further degree in Soil/Rock Mechanics, Geotechnics or equivalent would be desirable but not essential Chartered status or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body Typically requires at least 8 years specific relevant experience A thorough understanding of geology, ground investigation works, engineering geology, geotechnical engineering and earthworks Significant and demonstrable experience of geotechnical inspections, studies, design and reporting Salary & Benefits: £commensurate with experience Dynamic hybrid working model.
