About the Role:
As a Transport Administrator, you’ll play a key role in keeping the transport office running smoothly. Reporting to the Team Manager, you’ll provide vital administrative support to the transport team, helping to ensure all paperwork, compliance, and communication are handled accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process and maintain accurate records of driver hours, vehicle checks, and delivery paperwork
2. Assist with scheduling and allocating daily vehicle routes for collections and deliveries
3. Liaise with drivers, customers, and suppliers to resolve queries and update delivery information
4. Support the team with compliance, including keeping training, licence, and health & safety records up to date
5. Prepare reports and assist with monitoring operational performance
6. Help manage supplier and subcontractor paperwork, including agencies and service agents
7. Provide support to the team during holidays or absences, occasionally covering additional hours if needed
8. Contribute to a positive, well-organised office to per annum
What We’re Looking For:
9. Previous experience as an Administrator, ideally within a transport or logistics company (Tesco, Evri, Asda, etc.)
10. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
11. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
12. Clear, confident communication and interpersonal skills
13. Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
14. Reliable, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
15. Knowledge of transport compliance and Working Time Directive (desirable)
