Children Social Care - Contextual Safeguarding / Risk Outside the Home Service
Permanent / Full Time / Hybrid Work - minimum 2 days a week in the office.
Salary: PO2/PO3: £44,937 per annum, rising to £51,228 per annum including local wage allowance, plus £1,000 welcome payment and £1,000 per annum market supplement.
Responsibilities include assessing need, providing direct intervention and support to children and young people at risk outside the home at the earliest opportunity. The role will involve case holding, completing assessments, producing dynamic risk‑reduction plans, and working directly with children across the borough. The postholder will also collaborate with multiple stakeholders and partners, build strong relationships and work within a trauma‑informed, systemic approach to contextual safeguarding.
Qualifications: Experienced social worker with a strong background in front‑line social work, knowledge of contextual safeguarding, skills in conducting risk assessments, and the ability to build trustful relationships with children, young people and families.
