We've got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in their family home in Portsmouth. This person has a Brain Injury, a communication disorder, and epilepsy, but this does not define them. More interestingly, they have a great sense of humour and enjoy hobbies such as visiting day centres, shopping, and playing with action figures. To make the most of outings, we need local Portsmouth residents who can drive and hold a full UK Driving Licence.
Enriching activities are a key part of your support, and you'll bring an empathetic approach to truly make a difference in this person's life. Previous experience in the following areas is essential:
* Brain Injury
* Epilepsy
What will your shift involve?
You will provide high-quality care on a 2:1 basis, ensuring compassionate and tailored support. Responsibilities include engaging in meaningful activities, community outings to promote social interaction and well-being, supporting household tasks, and maintaining a clean, organized, and comfortable environment. Clear communication in their preferred manner is vital for building trust.
