What you'll be doing day to day
1. Support the M&A team on varied assignments for clients across the UK
2. Day to day lead on M&A transactions including:
3. Pitching to prospective clients and playing an influential role
4. Engaging with investors and buyers on mandates
5. Analysing extensive data to produce high-quality marketing materials
6. Coordinating client responses and addressing issues proactively
7. Evaluating initial bids to ensure competitive tension and profitable outcomes including negotiations on behalf of your client
8. Providing financial and commercial advice during deal closures
9. Conduct market research to assess industry trends and the impact of regulatory developments on clients
10. Collaborate closely with Partners, Directors, and other team members on a daily basis
11. Contribute to business development, including drafting proposals, attending events, and participating in pitch meetings
About you
12. CFA/ACA qualified (or equivalent), although applicants nearing qualification may also be considered
13. Prior experience in corporate finance is desirable but not essential
14. Commercially minded, with an enquiring and analytical approach
15. Strong report-writing skills and experience of Microsoft Office
16. Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence in front of clients
17. Ability to work on your own with strong time management skills to meet deadlines
18. Ability to assimilate information from various sources quickly and construct robust reports
19. Team-orientated and flexible when required to assist the wider Corporate Finance team
