Overview
We are recruiting for a Static Occupational Therapist for 12 months maternity cover at our Sheppey Frailty Unit who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
The successful post holder will be expected to provide excellent patient-centred care across our Sheppey Frailty Unit, utilising evidence-based practice to ensure the best of care is provided to patients.
Responsibilities
* As a Senior OT, be an effective member of our integrated team, proactive in your own learning and development and support other team members to do the same.
* Work within an evolving team; training will be provided to support you as required.
* Support other therapy teams/services within the Trust as needed.
* Provide holistic assessments as part of a fully integrated therapy team.
* Develop managerial and supervisory skills by providing supervision to therapists, therapy assistants, and students.
* Encourage Continuing Professional Development through the appraisal system.
Qualifications and Skills
* Motivated and enthusiastic with a broad range of acute hospital experience.
* Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to actively contribute to service development.
