Dynamic Analysis Engineering is part of the Systems Engineering function at Honeywell Aerospace Yeovil. Specifically, it involves developing and integrating complex whole system control laws for implementation in real time control software using control theory for deployment in airborne electronic hardware designs. Systems Engineering is concerned with the design and development of potentially large and complex aircraft Environmental Control Systems, where a 'System' is understood to be an integration of subsystems or components working together toward a common objective. Core product technologies include high-speed turbomachinery, electro-mechanical valves, pressure & temperature sensors, heat exchangers and associated electronic controllers. - Design & definition of the control laws of the system to the customer requirement documentation. - Analyse Thermal, Pneumatic and Mechanical components and systems in the frequency domain and design appropriate compensation transfer functions and control logic. - Understanding systems requirements, systems modelling and support to performance validation testing. - Interpretation of system test results and problem-solving skills - Defining the system level control requirements for electronic controls and the component level requirements. - Liaise closely with Systems Project Engineers and Development Engineers, as and when necessary and may be required to support customer technical meetings. - An engineering degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with strong Control Theory understanding and application is required - Use of related design analysis tools (Matlab/Simulink) - Knowledge of thermodynamic and fluid dynamic theory and practice would be useful and specific experience of working with air management systems would be advantageous - However, other relevant systems experience would also be taken into account and assessed on merit - A good grounding and experience of engineering practices, design and practical applications We offer - A culture that fosters inclusion, diversity and innovation - Market specific training and on-going personal development If this is your dream role, then we'd love to hear from you.
