An exciting opportunity has arisen at Princess Alexandra Hospital, we are looking for a Trust Middle Grade doctor (ST3-ST5) to complement our existing middle grade rota including contribution to the on‑call rota. The candidate will provide care to a variety of clinical areas – Paediatric Emergency Department, Same‑day emergency care, Dolphin Paediatric ward, Neonatal Unit, Postnatal ward and the Outpatients department. They will have access to consultant support at all times.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities of the post will include the day‑to‑day management of sick children, infants and neonates helped by nursing staff and senior house officers under the direct supervision of Consultant Paediatricians. The successful applicant will also cover the middle‑grade rota for Dolphin ward, Paediatric A&E, NICU/Postnatal wards and Outpatient clinics (supervised), working a mixture of normal days, long days and nights on a rolling rota basis. They will be responsible for timely patient review and discharge with appropriate senior support and are expected to contribute to the Department’s Audit and Governance programme by undertaking, presenting and submitting projects.
