The role focuses on advising clients on tax incentives to support investment and innovation, including capital allowances, land remediation relief and international tax depreciation analysis. We are looking for an ambitious Capital Allowances Graduate to join our growing team in our Belfast office. This role will be a key part in the growth of our national tax incentives team and provides opportunities to work with colleagues across our offices and career progression within a professional multi-disciplinary business.
Responsibilities
 * Preparing capital allowances reports for tax relief on the purchase and development of commercial properties. This could include the purchase of an office, redevelopment of a hotel or construction of a care home.
 * Surveying properties across a wide variety of sectors such as hospitality, offices, data centres, leisure and industrial properties.
 * Carrying out due diligence for property purchases.
 * Advising clients on contractual clauses for sale and purchase agreements or analysing cost information for new developments or refurbishments.

We have teams in Belfast, London, Birmingham and Manchester with highly experienced consultants. We write the texts and guidance notes for the RICS and Practical Law, regularly sit on consultation panels with industry and government, and deliver seminars to clients and professional advisors.
Person Specification / Qualifications
 * Working towards a professional qualification or nearing qualification from a background in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Real Estate, Accounting, Tax or Finance. Training will be given in all of these areas, developing and enhancing the skills from your core degree.

 * Demonstrate commercial acumen
 * Aptitude to deliver excellent client service and, in due course, be able to communicate with confidence at the highest levels of an organisation.
