Job title: Secondary Teacher Science

First for education is proud to be working in partnership with a high-achieving school to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic person in Science.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Science with QTS and a strong academic background in Science. They will be a passionate and knowledgeable subject specialist, confident in delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of Science while achieving strong outcomes for students. We are actively recruiting for this role and welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to develop their career within a supportive and high-achieving school environment.

We are looking for candidates that also can teach across either Chemistry, Biology or Physics and are comfortable with deliviring classes over any of those Desirable subjects.

This is a full-time, long-term position for the new academic year, delivering lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3), Key Stage 4 (KS4) and Key Stage 5 desirable.

The school has a strong behaviour policy in place and a supportive senior leadership team, making it an excellent environment for a Secondary Teacher looking for a consistent role in Birmingham (B11 Area).

Secondary Supply Teacher role requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
– Ability to deliver lessons across a range of subjects
– Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
– A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
– Strong communication and organisational skills
– Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
– Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through The Education Specialists

The successful Secondary Supply Teacher will:
– Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
– Adapt teaching to suit different classroom environments
– Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
– Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task
– Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
– Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
