Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings, ensuring that each resident or client receives the support they need to maintain their dignity and independence. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents or clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support individuals in following their care plans to ensure their specific needs are met.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff.
* Foster a positive environment by engaging with residents or clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
* Drive to clients' homes as necessary, ensuring safe transport and adherence to all road safety regulations.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each individual's requirements.
* Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the care environment.
Skills
* Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
* Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
* Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards residents' needs.
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable but not essential.
* Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
