Join our busy GP practice as a Patient Services Coordinator where you’ll be the first point of contact for patients and help keep our practice running smoothly. You'll combine friendly front desk duties with administrative back-office work.
We are a forward-thinking practice that has implemented systems to help manage patient flow effectively, so our mornings are generally calm, without long queues on the phone or at the front desk.
We are looking for someone approachable, organised, and confident in a busy environment, who enjoys both patient-facing work and behind-the-scenes support.
Main duties of the job
* Provide a warm and professional welcome to patients at the front desk.
* Support with opening and closing the surgery and forming part of a flexible rota pattern.
* Answer telephone calls and respond to patient queries in a friendly and professional manner.
* Support the Accurx Total Triage system as triage assistant, helping manage patient requests efficiently.
* Assist with general administrative tasks, such as tasks, emails, document scanning and long-term condition recalls.
* Any other tasks allocated by practice manager.

Warden Lodge Medical Practice is a well-established NHS GP training and research practice, with approximately 9,500 registered patients. Our clinical team consists of 2 GP Partners, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Nurses and 1 HCA. We form part of Broxbourne Alliance PCN.

Job responsibilities
* Greeting patients and handling telephone/email enquiries in a professional & friendly manner
* Booking, amending, and cancelling appointments using our clinical systems (SystmOne and Accurx)
* Processing prescriptions, document scanning and other administrative tasks
* Handling patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
Person Specification
Qualifications
* No formal qualifications necessary for this role. Full training will be given during induction.
Experience
* Good general education with good numeracy and literacy skills
* Previous experience working with computers
* Experience as a Medical Receptionist in a GP Surgery
* Previous experience of customer care or dealing with members of public in a frontline role
Salary: £12.21 to £12.45 per hour, with £12.21 per hour during probation, rising to £12.45 per hour.
