Summary: Are you an expert in tax compliance and advisory, looking to take on a critical role with a dynamic team? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Tax Manager to join our team and lead our tax compliance efforts while providing strategic tax advice. You will be responsible for tax filings and assessing tax risks and related-party transactions related to the UK. You will also provide professional tax advice or recommendations from a tax perspective to cross-functional teams. What you'll do: Daily Tax Compliance & Filings: Oversee and manage the filing of VAT, annual corporate income tax returns, and other relevant tax matters to ensure full compliance. R&D Tax Management: Handle tax filings and management of R&D activities, including the Research and Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC). Interest Tax Management: Manage tax filings and compliance related to interest under the Corporate Interest Restriction (CIR). Transfer Pricing Reports: Prepare and maintain compliance reports for transfer pricing. HMRC Inquiries: Respond to and manage inquiries from HMRC (Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs) with professionalism and accuracy. What you'll bring: In-depth Tax Knowledge: Strong technical expertise in VAT, corporate tax, and stamp duty land tax filings and management in the UK. Collaboration & Efficiency: Ability to work closely with the Tax Director and international tax teams, ensuring smooth communication and efficient workflow. HMRC Communication: Proactive in communicating with HMRC (His Majesty's Revenue and Customs), confidently responding to inquiries and managing any issues that arise. Accounting Acumen: Solid understanding of relevant accounting standards, including FRS 102 and IFRS tax accounting, with knowledge of US GAAP considered a plus. Transfer Pricing Expertise: Experience supporting international tax teams with transfer pricing planning and preparing necessary documentation. Risk Management: Skilled at identifying tax risks in daily operations and maintaining a tax risk register to mitigate potential issues. Professional Qualifications: ACA, CTA, or equivalent professional tax and accounting qualification. Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, particularly when liaising with international colleagues whose first language may not be English, ensuring clarity and understanding.
