Ansald Nuclear Ltd is the largest independent turnkey provider of nuclear engineering, manufacturing, and services in the UK, and part of Ansaldo Nucleare SpA.

The Company’s involvement in the nuclear industry began with the construction of the first nuclear reactor in the UK for the Dounreay Power Plant. Since then, Ansaldo Nuclear Ltd has supplied an extensive range of equipment and solutions to most UK nuclear power stations, including fuel route, remote handling, inspection equipment, encapsulation, and waste handling.

Ansaldo Nuclear Ltd also operates in the defence sector.


Communications Co-ordinator

Responsible for supporting the implementation of the company marketing and communications strategy. Coordinating the delivery of the Communications function across internal & external channels, face-to-face and online. A key aspect of the role will be creating & delivering compelling content that engages employees & external stakeholders and strengthens the company’s culture. The post holder will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s goals and values.


Key Activities / Decision Areas

Primary Activities:

1. Coordination and delivery of regular content requirements; lunch and learns, social media, internal MD communications (Video), intranet, marketing print materials, corporate presentations
2. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications initiatives and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis.
3. Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant communications.
4. Maintain the company’s communication tools, ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with the company’s goals and values.
5. Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and foster a positive company culture.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and new technology.

Other Duties:

1. Planning & strategy support
2. Coordinate internal events and initiatives to promote employee engagement and strengthen the company culture.
3. Produce marketing content for targeted events.
4. Create credible content on behalf of senior stakeholders across the organization.
5. Ensure all copy is engaging, informative, and tailored to the audience.
6. Set up & run brand awareness campaigns focused on target customers, recruitment, and engineering projects.
7. Perform other ad hoc projects as directed by the Head of Personal Development & Communications.


Essential Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

* 3+ years of experience in internal or corporate communications (in-house or agency)
* Strong project management & administrative skills
* Experience with content creation and delivery: email, newsletters, intranet, videos, presentations
* Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders
* Knowledge of best practices for communications
* Strong attention to detail and multi-project management skills
* Experience managing communication tools (internal email, intranet, etc.)
* Proactive in engaging with organizational needs
* Able to create a positive first impression across all levels of staff

Desirable:

* Excellent writing, copywriting, and editing skills
* Experience in video production & photography

The role is office-based in Wolverhampton with hybrid working options. Suitable for those with prior similar experience in communications or marketing. There is potential for progression into more strategic roles and professional development.


Salary & Benefits

£30,000 - £35,000 DOE
