Transport Operations Administrator - 1 Year Experience Required - Middlewich - (Maternity Cover - Potential for Permanent Role)
Salary: £30,000-£34,000 (pro rata), depending on experience)
SHIFT: Monday to Friday 0800-1730
Silver Arrow require an experienced Transport Operations Administrator to work for transport company based in Middlewich.
Your Role:
* Scheduling and Planning: Coordinating transport schedules and ensuring timely and cost-effective operations.
* Documentation: Preparing and verifying transport documentation, including load sheets, delivery notes and ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Compliance: Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and standards.
* Creating customs import & export documentation
* Customer Service: Act as a point of contact for customer queries, providing updates on deliveries and resolving issues.
* Monitor real-time vehicle movements and update schedules as needed
* Maintain accurate records of transport activities, including delivery notes, PODs (Proof of Delivery), and driver logs
* Assisting with other administrative duties as required.
What we need from you:
* Previous experience working in a transport office
* Previous experience with European Import & Export
* Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Competence in IT, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Knowledge on transport regulations and logistics operations.
* Experience working with Import/Export and creating customs documents
