Trainee Management Accountant – INTERNAL ONLY

Are you ready for your next step at Succession Wealth? As a Trainee Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Finance team while developing your skills through hands-on experience and professional study.
In this role, you will assist with monthly reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls to ensure accurate and timely financial information. You’ll also contribute to budgeting, external reporting, and audit preparation, giving you exposure to a broad range of finance activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance career who is proactive, detail-focused, and eager to learn. We’ll support your professional development with structured training and study support, helping you progress towards a recognised accounting qualification.
On a day to day basis you can expect to be:
1. Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Assisting in preparing and posting accruals and prepayments.
3. Supporting monthly variance analysis by gathering data, updating analysis files, and helping explain key movements between actuals and budget.
4. Helping to improve financial processes and controls by following procedures and suggesting improvements with a continuous improvement mindset.
5. Contributing to external reporting by preparing data and assisting with submissions such as FCA & ONS returns.
6. Supporting audit activities by preparing requested schedules, retrieving documentation, and responding to auditor queries in a timely and professional manner.
To be successful in the role you will need:
7. Experience in Microsoft Office including Excel.
8. Good oral and written communication skills.
9. Ability to work as part of a team.
10. Versatility and resilience, with strong organisational skills.
