Salary: up to £75,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + up to 30% bonus

The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to take the lead across our multi-brand finance operations. You’ll manage a talented team of 8, including our Payroll Administrator and Finance Manager, ensuring everything from management accounts to audits is accurate, timely, and fully compliant.
This role isn’t just about numbers – it’s about enabling growth, improving processes, and partnering with our operational teams to drive commercial success.
What You’ll Be Doing
Financial Reporting & Control
1. Deliver monthly management accounts: drafts within 5 days, finalised within 10
2. Lead year-end statutory accounts and liaise with auditors
3. Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and up to date
Compliance & Regulation
4. Oversee VAT, PAYE, NI, and all HMRC obligations
5. Strengthen internal controls, policies, and processes
6. Maintain adherence to UK accounting standards
Audit & Reconciliation
7. Lead external audits as the main liaison
8. Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
Commercial & Strategic Support
9. Drive annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and reforecasts
10. Deliver financial insights to support key business decisions
11. Champion process improvement and automation across finance and operations
12. Support system implementation and optimisation for our multi-brand business
What We Need
13. Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience
14. Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP
15. Experience at a Top 10 firm or similar preferred
16. Previous experience in hospitality, multi-site, or retail sectors highly advantageous
17. Proven leader and developer of finance teams
18. Familiarity with Sage 200, Fourth Hospitality, Novus AI, Stockade (preferred)
19. Analytical, detail-focused, and excellent communicator
