Reports to: Strategic Director of Football

Location: London with European travel as required

Key Colleague: Director of Independent Development Programs, Director of Player Health and Wellness

Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus benefits including coaching education support, sportswear/equipment provision, and professional development funding.

Hours: Full-time; includes evenings and weekends to accommodate training schedules, matches, and tournaments. Schedule flexibility is essential.

DBS / Background Check: Required prior to start date.

Role Overview

The Assistant Director of Global Football is to play a pivotal role in the execution of Crux’s global football strategy and sporting ambitions. This person will work very closely with our Strategic Director of Football and will be positioned to grow into that role themselves over time. The responsibilities include developing global strategies and goals as well as managing execution and performance at the club levels.

This role will also work alongside the Director of Independent Development Programs and the Director of Player Health and Wellness who are overseeing more player-focused development and performance matters.

This role requires a people-focused and data-oriented sporting executive who can work in fast paced environments across multiple club and local cultures.


Key Responsibilities

* Drive forward the overall Crux Football sporting strategy and philosophy across the Crux MCO network
* Support the articulation of clear game models and style of play philosophy and criteria
* Build clear sporting objectives and target development plans for the organization
* Develop tactical roadmaps, plans, and budgets against sporting strategy and objectives
* Create Crux-wide assets including coach and player education related to style of play
* Support in global-recruitment process development and market modeling
* Own strategic recruitment relationships with agents, agencies, and other clubs
* Manage modern, innovative recruitment for coach and player signings
* Oversee all senior football hires at each club (Sporting Directors, Coaching staff, Academy leadership)
* Coach key club staff on style of play and game model
* Monitor style of play and correct where needed
* Ensure proper implementation of data for team performance analysis and opposition analysis
* Own the results of transfer windows
* Coordinate with local sporting directors and teams on player personnel
* Support Sporting Directors on local negotiations with agents
* Support hiring processes with technical and operational staff


Performance Tracking

* Establish KPIs and key goals for each club, develop system to monitor and track effectiveness
* Hold local Sporting Directors accountable for meeting KPIs, support them in achieving club’s goals


Technology, Data and Analytics

* Support the Strategic Director of Global Football in the design and club-implementation of the Crux Catalyst tech platform


Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

* 3-5 years of experience in recruitment roles in football (team or agency side) or 2-3 years of on-field coaching experience
* Demonstrable knowledge of football both on and off the pitch
* Deep understanding of current transfer market mechanics, pricing, and players
* Comfort using advanced sporting data sets and translating outputs into actionable insights
* Extensive set of relationships across the women’s game
* Strong people skills – ability to manage and lead across cultures
