Our client is an ambitious and fast-growing medical technology company developing innovative, patient-specific surgical solutions.
They are now looking for a Design Engineer to join their small, highly collaborative team and help drive the development of cutting-edge surgical instruments and devices.
What you’ll do:
* Lead the full product development lifecycle from early concept generation and CAD design through to prototyping, design verification & validation, and final release.
* Work hands-on within a close-knit engineering and clinical team, translating user needs into functional, manufacturable products.
* Produce high-quality CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
* Support design V&V activities, risk management, design reviews, and regulatory design control processes.
* Contribute to the development of innovative orthopaedic and surgical technologies that directly improve patient outcomes.
What we’re looking for:
* Strong mechanical or product design experience within medical device development
* Excellent CAD/CAE skills (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, ANSYS) and a solid understanding of design for manufacture.
* Experience in design verification & validation, testing, and medical device quality processes.
* Someone who thrives in a small-team environment - proactive, hands-on, and able to take ownership of projects from concept to commercialisation.
* A genuine passion for developing meaningful healthcare technologies.
