Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form is seeking an inspiring, innovative, and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join our team; a teacher who shares our belief that all pupils have the right to succeed and have access to the very best education. Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply for this post.
You will be part of a team that delivers a broad, balanced, and inclusive curriculum for students. You’ll monitor and support students’ progress and development and contribute to raising standards and attainment, whilst motivating and challenging students to achieve their very best. You will work with the department to contribute to improving and developing current curriculum resources.
Main purpose of the role:
* To ensure pupils receive an excellent education through the delivery of high quality teaching
* To monitor and support overall progress and development of students as a teacher and therefore contribute to raising standards of student attainment
* To teach the curriculum as set out by the Curriculum Leader, including preparing pupils for examination in appropriate qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* An appropriate degree
* Qualified Teacher Status (or on track to achieve QTS before taking up the post).
* Experience of teaching computer science to at least higher GCSE level. We welcome applications from teachers who have not had the opportunity to teach A level, but who can demonstrate that they have sufficient subject knowledge to take on this challenge
* Knowledge of the statutory requirements concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEND and Child Protection
