About the Role:
My client, A leading UK-based security consultancy, trusted by global clients operating in high-risk and high-stakes environments, is looking for an experienced Intelligence & Research Manager to lead its open-source intelligence (OSINT) and geopolitical risk function. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting, combining analytical depth with leadership and strategic insight.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and executive leaders to translate complex global developments into actionable intelligence — informing security, compliance, and crisis response strategies that protect people, assets, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and assess global political, economic, and security developments
* Produce client-facing briefings, strategic reports, and risk assessments
* Lead in-depth research projects on geopolitical trends and emerging threats
* Advise leadership and stakeholders on key intelligence findings and implications
* Deliver real-time situational intelligence during crises or global incidents
* Manage a high-performing team of analysts and interns, ensuring quality and ethical standards
* Maintain and develop intelligence platforms, including content accuracy and user experience
* Build partnerships with vendors, academic institutions, and external analysts
* Represent the organisation in industry forums and intelligence networks
* Support business continuity planning and contribute to internal strategic publications
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Intelligence Studies, Political Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
* 5+ years in geopolitical analysis, intelligence, or risk advisory
* Proven ability to manage intelligence teams or functions in complex environments
* Experience working with multinationals, government bodies, NGOs, or private security
* Proficiency in OSINT tools, threat intelligence platforms, and incident tracking systems
* Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills
* Excellent briefing and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to lead teams and mentor junior analysts
* High emotional intelligence and resilience in high-tempo environments
Desirable Certifications:
* Certified Intelligence Analyst (CIA) or similar
* Emergency Response or Crisis Management training
