Duties & Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance and support tasks on high-speed automated equipment
* Maintain and support automated and conveying systems.
* Maintain and support production electronic/electrical systems.
* Working as part of a team and supporting production and operations.
* Implement solutions to help improve machine reliability and quality issues.
* Creating a maintenance plan for the organisation’s equipment
* Establishing maintenance policies and procedures
* Conducting frequent quality checks on equipment to ensure no maintenance is required
* Completing emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down
* Managing the budget for the maintenance of equipment
* Keeping a record of preventive and emergency maintenance carried out
* Ensuring the organisation complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place
* Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
* Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
* Diagnose breakdown problems
* Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
* Liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
* Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
* Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
* Improve health and safety policies and procedures
* Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
* Any other duties, within reason & capability, as determined by management
Required Experience
* NVQ level 3 in either; electrical, mechanical or multiskilled maintenance or formal specific technical qualification
* A minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Working with and have an in-depth knowledge and experience of Electrical, Mechanical, pneumatics and program knowledge essential.
* Knowledge of CNC and PC controlled systems would be desirable
* Knowledge of PLC controlled systems and their energised components.
* Team working and flexibility with an open attitude
* Capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management
* Able to work unsupervised and prioritise their own time and activities
* Have strong Electrical fault-finding skills supporting fast and effective problem solving
* Able to demonstrate a proven ability in trouble shooting and recovering equipment in a dynamic environment
* Experience in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
HOURS OF WORK:
* Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
* Friday: 07:30 – 13:30
