Early Years Teaching Assistant
Milk Education is working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Morpeth to recruit a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant for a full-time, temporary position within their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team.
This role will start after February half term, run initially until Easter, and may be extended until the summer term for the right candidate.
The Role:
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Support children’s learning and development within the EYFS setting
2. Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, play-based learning activities
3. Provide 1:1 and small group support where required
4. Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
5. Support children’s social, emotional and educational development
6. Assist with daily routines and classroom organisation
The Ideal Candidate:
7. Has experience working with young children (nursery, preschool, EYFS or reception)
8. Is caring, patient and enthusiastic
9. Has a good understanding of early child development
10. Is a strong team player
11. Holds relevant childcare qualifications (desirable but not essential)
12. Is passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives
