Bank Senior Care Assistant (Guisborough | Flexible Hours | £13.90/hr)

Overview
St Martins Care are recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant to work at their busy Residential Care Home. You should be an experienced care professional with an understanding of medication management and CQC compliance. We are interested in who you are as a person and how you contribute to high quality care for older people, teamwork, and effective communication.
Location
The service premises, but you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company with appropriate notice.
Role-specific Duties
* Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery and that their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
* Supervise staff and ensure all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
* Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.

* Develop effective working relationships with colleagues within the service.
* Work in cooperation with multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents.
* Maintain and develop relationships with residents’ loved ones.

Essential Criteria
Qualifications
* Vocational qualification Level 3 Health and Social Care.
* Level 3 Medication Management.
* Good English (written and verbal).
Skills
* Maintain care plans/care records in accordance with the service’s policy and audit care records following company policy to ensure compliance.
* Communication skills to build rapport with residents and to inform colleagues, management, and professionals about their needs.
* Problem-solving skills to adapt to and address situations quickly, develop solutions, and recognise/report situations requiring protection.
* Ability to assist residents with daily tasks by following their care plan (e.g., bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, bathroom assistance).
* Supervise staff providing residents with support as they accomplish daily tasks.
* Dispense medication following the service’s policies and procedures.
Previous Experience
* Previous experience of working in a similar environment.
