We’re looking for an Electrical Design Manager to join our IUS business and take ownership of developing and delivering detailed engineering designs across all workstreams. This is a key leadership role offering both strategic and hands-on responsibilities, with the flexibility of hybrid working (4 days in-office, 1 from home).
You will lead a multi-skilled team to ensure the consistent delivery of quality design solutions, enhancing existing procedures and supporting operational success, you’ll also be responsible for team development and ensuring the company remains compliant and competitive in its delivery of services.

Oversee the delivery of detailed designs from 11kV to 132kV networks
Improve design processes to reduce risk and ensure compliance
Build an operations-based design function that supports business growth
Develop and implement a company-wide design strategy and framework
Act as key liaison for external design partners and contractors
Ensure quality assurance processes are in place across all design projects
Identify and develop internal talent and capability for future growth

HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of HV and EHV design, including substations and underground networks
Familiar with design and construction best practices within the power sector
