PRS are currently working alongside a known specialist provider within the FM market who are looking to expand their team and take on a Business Development Manager paying up to £50k. The role requires someone with excellent client relationship skills to grow different sectors within the business: commercial, healthcare, retail, data centres and private hospitals.


This client is particularly interested in candidates with strong industry knowledge and an existing network within FM, contractors, or consultants, ideally with exposure to HVAC or a comparable service i.e Fire Detection, Water Treatment etc.


Key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:

* Identify and secure new customer relationships across the Group’s target sectors.
* Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities aligned to the Group sales strategy.
* Secure recurring maintenance contracts that form the foundation for long-term client relationships.
* Build relationships with facilities management companies, asset owners, estates teams and consultants.
* Identify new market opportunities, service innovations and client partnerships that support revenue growth.


Client Engagement & Relationship Development

* Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers across target sectors.
* Represent the company professionally in the market, promoting the Group’s services and reputation.
* Attend networking events, industry forums and business development meetings.
* Support the development of long-term strategic client relationships.


Opportunity Management & Sales Pipeline

* Identify genuine new business opportunities rather than reactive enquiries.
* Maintain accurate pipeline management and reporting within the CAFM / CRM system (Atom).
* Ensure all opportunities are logged, tracked and progressed through the appropriate sales stages.
* Provide regular pipeline updates and forecasting to the Sales Manager.


Key Competencies

* Proven business development experience within HVAC, FM or related technical services sectors.
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and convert new opportunities.
* Experience selling service contracts or engineering services.
* Ability to build strong client relationships and influence decision makers.
* Resilient, ambitious and aligned with the Group growth strategy.


Education & Experience

* Proven business development experience within HVAC, FM or technical services sectors.
* Demonstrated track record of securing new service contracts and developing client relationships.
* Experience working with facilities management providers or large estates organisations.
