The Financial Controller will lead the companysfinancial management, reporting, and control functions. This role ensures robust financial governance while supporting strategic decision-making in a scaling, sustainability-focused business.
Key requirements for the role include clear communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to work quickly along with accurately, excellent organisation skills and strong accounting knowledge. What will yoube doing?
Financial Management & Reporting Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS / UK GAAP)
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
Deliveraccurateandtimelymanagement reporting and insights
Cash Flow & WorkingCapital Managecash flow forecasting process
Optimise working capital, including receivables, payables, and inventory
Support funding strategies and relationships with lenders/investors
Controls & Compliance Maintainstrong internal controls and financial governance frameworks
Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements
Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors
Maintaina robust financial risk management framework
What youllbring Fully Qualified Accountant with a recognised body such as ACA,ACCAor CIMA
Excellent numerical, communication and organisational skills
Understanding of key accounting and financial policies
Experience using accounting software
Oracle would beadvantageous
Strong Excel skills confident using formula and pivot tables to manage data and work efficiently
