National Grid is hiring Senior Project Managers for our Infrastructure Delivery Team in East Anglia.


About the role


As Senior Project Manager you are at the heart of delivering the Customer Connections portfolio, leading a team of Project Managers in electricity construction delivering projects such as the connection of power stations, wind farms, solar farms and battery storage – all of which will provide clean and affordable energy. Other connections could be giga factories, data centres and distribution networks, vital for our economy, technological advancement and the transition to greener transport and heat.

About you


We're looking for someone who is going to take the job personally Someone who is going to be completely committed to getting their portfolio of works delivered safely, on time and to budget. You will have a background employing project and/or contract management practice in a similar field or discipline.

You'll have strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience of leading cross functional teams and a stakeholder-centric approach to delivering a high quality output. You'll be a self-starter who is good at playing devil's advocate and foreseeing potential problems. You may have experience outside of a client role as either contractor or customer.

You'll ideally have a degree or qualification in project management, engineering, business management or equivalent experience, and you will need a driving license that permits you to drive in the UK.

* Salary of up to £78,000 dependent on experience and capability

* Roles are home based but will require frequent travel to office and site locations in East Anglia (3 days per week).
