We’re looking for a seasoned Financial Controller to lead the delivery of accurate, insightful financial reporting to the Head of Finance and senior leadership. This pivotal role ensures Aeralife meets its internal and external financial obligations with precision, timeliness, and excellence.
Based in Aeralife Support Office in Hawthorn, this role is an integral part of Finance and Leadership team.

As Financial Controller, you will provide strategic and operational financial advice to the Head of Finance, Executive team, and relevant managers in all aspects of financial management, annual budget development and monthly budget reporting. You will also develop financial control systems, budget guidelines and reporting mechanisms so that management and the Board have a complete understanding of the financial viability, efficiency and future options for resource management. Part of the role is also providing timely financial reports and monitor the effectiveness of accounting and financial management information systems and financial controls in meeting all legislative and departmental requirements. You will ensure that all financial records and reports comply with legislative standards and requirements.
The role is responsible for conducting financial analysis to understand key business drivers and use data and analytics to provide actionable advice to all senior stakeholders to improve business performance and financial results. You will also drive financial performance of the business by providing commercial direction, financial advice and deep analytical insights into the drivers of success.

What You Will Bring To The Role
* Minimum 5 years’ senior financial managerial position with a proven success record.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance within the Aged Care Industry
* Bachelor of Commerce. (accounting and finance), or similar
* Advanced computer skills including Microsoft skills particularly Word & Excel and financial reporting software.
* Ability to lead by example and demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, ethics and dependability.
* Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
