We work with clients of all ages and abilities to improve speech, language, and communication skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.\n\nJob Description:\nWe are seeking a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Tutor to join our dynamic team. You will work with children and adults who have speech, language, and communication difficulties, providing targeted support to help them reach their full potential.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nDeliver one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to individual needs\nSupport clients with a range of communication difficulties including speech delay, language disorders, and social communication challenges\nCollaborate with families, educators, and speech-language pathologists (SLPs) to align support strategies\nTrack progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reports and assessments\nDevelop engaging resources and adapt learning materials\nFoster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment\nExperience with working with Makaton, PECKs and MakatonRequirements:\n\nExperience working in speech and language support, education, or therapy settings\nA relevant qualification in education, speech and language support, or a related field (e.g., SALT assistant certification, teaching degree, etc.)\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nPatience, empathy, and adaptability\nAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamDesirable:\n\nExperience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)\nKnowledge of speech and language developmental milestones\nDBS or background check clearance (required if working with children or vulnerable adults)If you are interested in this position please contact Chloe at Remedy Tutors on (phone number removed)
