About the Role:
Our client is a world leader in ship navigation and maritime systems, is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician / Wireperson. You'll assemble control panels and racks, perform soldering and crimping, interpret technical drawings, and help define manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble wiring systems, racks, and enclosures from schematics and BOMs
* Perform soldering, crimping, and cable routing
* Carry out electrical testing and fault-finding
* Maintain and improve manufacturing documentation and standards
* Collaborate with engineering to optimize quality and efficiency
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (BTEC, NVQ, City & Guilds)
* Practical experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring, or cable assembly
* Ability to read technical drawings and work independently
* Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Desirable:
* HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related field
* IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
* Experience writing work instructions
