Job Description
We are looking for dedicated machine operators to join our client's production facility in Walsall. This role involves operating plastic injection moulding machines, ensuring high-quality production, and performing quality control checks.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in a paid 15-minute operational briefing before each shift.
Operate plastic injection moulding machines efficiently.
Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring proper manufacturing standards.
Trim excess plastic using a knife if required.
Perform additional duties as assigned beyond machine operation.
Requirements
Essential:
Must be 18+ (due to insurance protocols).
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Own transport is
required
(no reliable public transport available).
Must have safety boots and a high-visibility vest (mask optional).
Preferred:
Previous experience in plastic injection moulding or manufacturing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information
Probation Period:
First 3 days (paid work)
Temp-to-Perm Opportunity: 3 months through Staff Today -> transfer to client based on performance & attendance.
Shifts:
Morning & afternoon shifts rotate weekly; night shift is static.
Transport:
No public transport connection; candidates must have their own transport.
Working Hours: Rotational shifts (morning/afternoon) or static night shifts
Morning Shift (05:45 - 14:00):
£12.21 per hour
Afternoon Shift (13:45 - 22:00):
£12.21 per hour
Night Shift (21:45 - 06:00):
£12.50 per hour
