Maintenance Technician – 6-Month Fixed-Term (with potential to go permanent)

Package:
* Up to £42k per annum
* Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week + weekend on-call availability

What you’ll do:
* Keep our bakery production equipment running at its best with regular preventative maintenance
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
* Work closely with operators and the production team to solve problems quickly and efficiently
* Maintain records of all work using our CMMS system
* Support new equipment installations and help commission them into action
* Be part of a safety-first culture, ensuring all maintenance is carried out to the highest standard
* Stay organised and keep your work area (and tools!) tidy
* Be on-call by phone during weekends to offer remote support if needed
What you’ll bring:
* At least 4 years’ experience in a similar maintenance role (preferably in manufacturing or food production)
* A technical or trade qualification (mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled)
* Strong skills in diagnosing and fixing a variety of systems—mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
* Ability to read technical diagrams and use hand and power tools with confidence
* A proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and with others
* Familiarity with CMMS software
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
