Overview
Our client, a leading childcare provider in Godalming, Surrey, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their vibrant team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their growth and development. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities that promote children's learning and development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will work collaboratively with other practitioners to ensure a safe, caring, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Responsibilities
* Observing, assessing, and documenting children's progress, using this information to inform future planning and support individual learning needs
* Building strong partnerships with parents and carers, maintaining open communication and sharing regular updates on their child's development
* Ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and welfare are maintained at all times
* Contributing to the overall smooth running of the nursery, including maintaining a clean and organised learning environment
Qualifications and requirements
* Relevant childcare qualification at Level 3 or above (e.g., NVQ, CACHE diploma) or currently working towards Level 3 with a genuine commitment to professional development
* Experience in a nursery or early years setting is desirable
* Good understanding of the EYFS framework and current best practices in early years education
* Positive role model, patient, empathetic, with excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
* Creative, enthusiastic, proactive approach to learning and development
* Strong teamwork and willingness to go the extra mile to support colleagues and the nursery
Salary and benefits
£15.00 per hour, plus benefits including great pay rates, holiday pay, and weekly payroll.
