Ambimedia Ltd provide audiovisual solutions for a range of environments such as retail, leisure, education, corporate and hospitality venues. We provide a whole range of services from specification and design to installation and maintenance and we have our own digital signage, digital menuboard and background music platforms.
The purpose of this role is to attend clients sites either alone or with our team of audiovisual (AV) installation and service engineers in their day to day work, installing and maintaining AV equipment across the UK. You will be required to go to our customers' sites to install AV equipment as per installation instructions, alongside our other AV engineers. Installations are to be completed to a high standard as per instructions. H&S procedures to be followed at all times. The majority of our clients consist of, but are not limited to, retail and hospitality outlets. A company vehicle will be provided for travel to customer sites.
DUTIES
· Using access equipment such as ladders, scissor lifts and mobile scaffold towers.
· Installing wiring and equipment into customer sites.
· Configuration of AV devices upon installation.
· Following system designs issued by our AV designers.
· Following instructions and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
· Testing AV equipment, both installed and in the warehouse.
· Making up cables with connectors such as RJ45, RCA/phono, XLR, IEC, Phoenix and various others and terminating to a high standard.
· Attending training course relevant to the role, such as ECS/CSCS training, Asbestos Awareness training, IPAF PAL training.
· Completing test sheets, recording serial numbers, taking photographs of installed equipment and completing all relevant completion sign off documentation as per instructions.
· Ad hoc duties as determined by your line manager.
· General warehouse & workshop duties where required.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
· A full UK driving licence is required as driving to customer sites is essential.
· The successful candidate must be willing to stay away from home overnight from time to time as required.
· Reasonable IT skills required (you will be required to use MS Office & will be taught how to setup AV/IT devices).
· Working at height required (working at height training provided).
· An interest in AV products and services.
