THE COMPANY: Exciting times for this well-established, privately owned British manufacturer who continues to succeed and grow. They provide a premium quality range of advanced wound care dressings, bandaging and antimicrobial layers for use in both hospital and community settings with an enviable brand and product reputation. This area has huge potential and has not been worked to its fullest so there are great opportunities for formulary inclusions and contracted sales with some hard work and engagement. There is a focus on business development and commercial strategy within senior contacts of the ICS and NHS trusts as opposed to traditional territory management and local level training delivery. This is an attractive opportunity for a step up wound care candidate or medical sales profile wanting to work at a senior level and drive formulary status. It would also suit an experienced medical or pharmaceutical sales professional who has worked at a senior level in community and secondary care.
THE ROLE: The successful BDM will ideally come from a medical or healthcare background with a good understanding of selling to Medicines Management, Procurement, ICS Leads, Commissioners, TVNs, Senior Pharmacists and Leg Ulcer teams. The role involves selling premium quality woundcare products based upon clinical features and benefits. Working with a wider team to open business opportunities and influence formularies within the South of England region. You will be well trained on products but someone with an understanding of the Formulary process and working through a network of clinical and procurement contacts as well as an understanding of clinical education and training delivery will be ideal. The goal for this candidate is to drive the number and depth of formulary approvals across strategically identified Trusts in the South of the UK. Working independently, this will suit someone who is business focused, organised and driven as well as happy to run their region and business plan.
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE:
·A professional, commercially astute sales candidate who has track record of new business or gained contracts/formularies within the NHS Acute and/or Community sector.
·An experience wound care sales professional wanting the next step in their career with a commercial focus
·A driven, goal orientated sales person who has sole to NHS trusts in a non medical capacity.4
·Full driving licence and happy travelling daily to see customers.
THE PACKAGE FOR BDM Woundcare - South:
Basic: £55-60k
Bonus: £10-13k OTE plus annual company profit share
Car: Company car allowance of £625 per month or Electric vehicle
