Overview
NOW Group is a social enterprise dedicated to supporting individuals with learning difficulties, autism, and neurodiverse conditions into sustainable employment opportunities. The role is a Specialist Trainer who will develop and deliver training in at least one vocational subject (Catering & Hospitality, Retail, Warehousing, Admin, ICT, or Cleaning) and create individual training plans aligned with each participant's progression route.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with NOW Group colleagues to develop and deliver high quality, specialised training courses relevant to participant goals and aspirations.
* Develop and deliver accredited training courses and academies in ICT, Business Admin, Retail, Cleaning, Warehousing, Catering & Hospitality and soft skills (e.g. Employability, Money Management, Personal Development).
* Deliver internal mandatory and developmental training sessions for NOW Group staff and provide training to external organisations as required.
* Integrate relevant learning technologies (ILT) in teaching and actively develop skills in using relevant equipment.
* Produce high quality resources, schemes of work and lesson plans with differentiation to match participant levels.
* Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders, represent NOW Group at events, deliver presentations, participate in discussions, and explain the organisation’s work.
* Contribute to achieving targets within the Organisational Scorecard and NOW Group’s strategic objectives.
* Promote the NOW Group brand through social media engagement, events, marketing materials, and other communication tools.
* Participate in regular quality audits to ensure compliance with organisational and funder guidelines.
* Comply with NOW Group's Organisational Approach to Safeguarding.
Qualifications and Requirements
* A full current driving licence and access to a car (consideration given to alternative travel proposals for applicants with disabilities who cannot hold a licence).
* Flexible and adaptable hours; role may involve evening and weekend work; position is peripatetic.
* Certificate in Teaching or an equivalent training qualification.
* GCSE in English and Mathematics.
* Be a subject specialist in one of ICT, Business Admin, Retail, Cleaning, Warehousing, or Catering & Hospitality.
* Minimum of 1 year paid experience delivering accredited training programmes to children or young people, adults with barriers to learning, or participants with learning disabilities/difficulties.
* Proven experience working with Accreditation Bodies; experience of assessment and moderation.
Desirable
* Qualification to deliver Essential Skills.
* Internal verifier/moderator qualifications.
